During an inspection carried out at the end of September 2017, the botanists of Life PonDerat found some good results of the eradication of the Hottentot-fig Carpobrotus sp. carried out in recent months on most of the island. The researchers found that the areas where they acted were not re-colonized by this invasive alien plant. As can be seen from the images, the Sea fennel Chritmum maritimum already seems to benefit from this.
