Biosecurity inspection in Ventotene before the arrival of summer and the tourists who will flock to the island in the coming months.
The use of a variety of devices to intercept possible rats increases the efficiency of this type of control. Phototraps in particular are key tools at this stage.
The last photograph is emblematic and expresses our concerns well. The line from this ship is a real highway for a rat that could use it to get ashore. This is precisely why there is a maximum concentration of biosecurity devices around the port.
Not to mention the good fortune of working in beautiful places like these where even the camera traps are panoramic.
