Let's try to understand how to watch at #shearwaters , to identify them on the sea. Scopoli’s shearwater has 125 cm long wings, Yelkouan shearwater 80cm. We do it thanks to the drawings of Elisabetta Mitrovic.
In the Scopoli's shearwater, the wings are long and narrow, dark and slightly curved. The beak is large, light yellow in color. The lower parts are white.
In the Yelkouan shearwater the upper parts of the wings are very dark (strong contrast to the white underparts). The beak is thin and dark
