Breaking news: the Scopoli's shearwater (Calonectris diomedea) born in the same cavity where last year Ligea was born has finally flown away. It has been closely followed for months by the staff of the Reserve and, like Ligea (do you remember the story?), it was named as one of the mythological mermaids: Molpe.
We can say that thanks to the control of the rat population it survived until the moment of departure for a long journey towards the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa.
Fair winds!
